Cherry Blossom Festival 2012
Knowing that the DC cherry blossoms would be at their peak long unprecedentedly early due to the lack of a real winter this year, we decided to head down to see them last Sunday; two days before the official start of the Cherry Blososm Festival.
Sure enough, the cherries were blossoming. There was no gargantuan mob of people, as there has been in past years, which made photography considerably easier
I played a frantic lens changing game, from wide angle to telephoto to prime… but once again, ended up largely sticking with the Chinon 55mm f/1.7; a manual focus film lens from my grandpa’s old SLR
We also stumbled upon the Tulip Library, where all the books were in full bloom
